Established in 2019, Open Door Community Theatre (ODCT) is an all-volunteer community theater with a unique mission. Not only do we stage high-quality productions, we give back to our community by donating a portion of our shows' proceeds to local community charity partners. In our inaugural production of Shrek the Musical in July 2019, ODCT donated $10,956 to the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf in Oakdale, MN!

ODCT's second production, Stars on Broadway 5: Heroes and Villains, with a cast of over 100 performers of all ages was a treat for both the eyes and ears.  Co-produced with Aspire Music Academy in February 2020, Stars 5 benefitted Coco's Heart Dog Rescue.

Following a two-year hiatus during the COVID 19 pandemic, ODCT roared back to life with a successful production of Disney's The Little Mermaid at the Loft Stage at East Ridge High School in June 2022.  This beautifully-produced show reestablished ODCT's place in the arts community in the East Metro, and benefitted SoWashCo CARES. 

In 2023, with our productions of Godspell and School of Rock: The Musical, we continued our mission to donate a portion of our proceeds to Angels of Hope Memorial and Hopewell Music Academy! And in 2024, the tradition continued donating to Joseph's Coat with proceeds from our production of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Joy Collaborative with Roger's and Hammerstein's Cinderella. 

As we look forward to our 2025 season including productions of Seussical: The Musical and The Producers, we hope that you will help support the cost of staging our high quality productions to entertain the East Metro and give back to the communities we serve.
