About One2One

We empower youth. One2One staff facilitates weekly programming to help mentors and youth build trust and achieve progress in four youth outcome areas: Social-emotional health, academics, school attendance, and behavior.

We equip mentors. One2One works with community colleges (North Hennepin and Normandale) to recruit high quality mentors for each of our 130 students. We also partner with local schools to embed mentoring within their current curriculums to better help youth succeed in school and in life. Your investment in One2One provides the necessary staff time to work with professors to recruit, screen, interview, train, and provide on-going support to mentors throughout the school year. Investment also contributes to supporting youth/mentor pairs throughout the year. Each pair receives close contact with One2One staff to help them increase social-emotional strength, academic success, school attendance, and positive classroom behavior.

We connect communities. We currently work in Brooklyn Park and the Edina Southdale neighborhoods to connect community colleges, schools, and youth organizations in order to provide supportive mentoring relationships to at-risk youth.
