Safe, stable, affordable housing is the foundation for thriving families and communities. At One Roof we create pathways to homeownership and rental opportunities for people who might otherwise be left out of today's housing market. When people have heathy, safe, affordable homes, they are able to be the best versions of themselves and help others in their community.

We're committed to enriching lives and communities, working toward a vision where everyone has access to sustainable and affordable housing. Across the Twin Ports and North Shore region, our programs and services create and sustain affordable housing opportunities:

• Community Land Trust (CLT): We build and rehab high-quality single-family homes for households earning ~$20,000-$40,000 annually. Our Land Trust model keeps homes permanently affordable through future resales. With 375+ CLT homes across the region and 250 resales, we've recycled over $20 million to benefit future homeowners.
• Homebuyer Education & Counseling: Our HUD-certified Home Stretch classes and one-on-one counseling help lower-income families succeed as homeowners. We've provided pre- and post-purchase education to more than 7,700 households and one-on-one counseling to over 3,800 households, resulting in 2,600 home purchases.
• Multifamily Housing Development: We partner with local nonprofits to develop affordable rental housing that serves lower-income households and helps prevent homelessness. We've created 350+ units to date, including recent projects like Plover Place, Brewery Creek, Decker Dwellings, and Gateway Tower Apartments.
• Tenant Landlord Connection: We work to ensure stable rental housing by educating landlords and tenants about their rights and responsibilities, and by mediating disputes. This helps decrease the number of evictions in our community. This program has stabilized 1,500 households and prevented 265 evictions.
• Repair & Remodel Lending Services: We offer homeowners at virtually any income level affordable loans for critical repairs, accessibility modifications, and improvements. Our lending has improved nearly 1,800 homes.
• Purchase Assistance Loans: We help qualified homebuyers finance their down payment, eliminating the cost of monthly mortgage insurance premiums.
• Tool Lending Library: Our free Community Tool Lending Library provides residents with power and hand tools for all types of home improvement projects and repairs, indoors and out.
