On Being Project

The On Being Project (OBP) is a nonprofit media and social healing organization — a community of conversation and living. We proudly call Minnesota home. Founded and led by Krista Tippett, On Being started on public radio here, is headquartered in Minneapolis, and now has a global audience and cultural imprint. People come to us to explore the big questions of meaning at the intersection of spiritual inquiry, science, social healing, and the arts: What does it mean to be human? How do we want to live? Who will we be to each other? Our conversations, on-air and off, create openings. Our ecosystem of offerings nourish and resource the interplay between inner life, outer life, and life together. You can find us in the studio producing the award-winning global podcast On Being and the acclaimed podcast Poetry Unbound, hosting quiet conversations and not-so-quiet gatherings to ignite and connect the generative landscape of our time, and incubating our new Lab for the Art of Living — tools and resources informed by our content and convenings towards embodied living and a life-giving imprint on the world around.
