Spring Forward MN May 1st-11th: Early donating for the Walk-a-Thon fundraiser

You can help give Oak Hill a jump on our Walk-a-Thon fundraiser by donating early through GiveMN.org’s Spring Forward MN campaign. 

From May 1st-11th all donations of $5 or more make Oak Hill PTSA eligible for these daily bonus grants.

• $1,000 at the end of each day to one Minnesota Organization
• $250 each day to one Central Minnesota organization
• $250 each day to one organization receiving a new monthly recurring donation

Since 2018 Oak Hill PTSA has raised $2,830 through GiveMN.org from generous donations and has been fortunate to earn an extra $1,250 in prize money. That is $4,080 benefiting Oak Hill students!  

This year, to safely space students, the Walk a Thon will take place over three days. May 17th, 18th, and 19th. All students will participate in this healthy initiative during the school day as part of their physical education block.  

In the past we have raised more than $15,000 

with 100% of this money going directly back to our students and their classrooms.

The Oak Hill Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is made up of caring parents and families, teachers, grandparents, community members, etc. who want the best education for our children.   The PTSA provides each student with $13 for field trips, $7 for art experiences and $4 for classroom supplies, that's $24 for EVERY student.  In addition, PTSA provides money for the Great Theatre Field Trip, Academic Achievement, Academic Coaches, Bob Gasch's story telling, the Differentiation Specialist, Preschool, supplies for Nurse Sue, supplies for the lunch room, ELL, Special Ed, Social Workers, the Counselors, Ambassadors, Art, Field Day, Music, the Media Center, and Physical Education. This year the Oak Hill PTSA purchased a custom 3 ply Oak Hill mask for every student!  Oak Hill students are fortunate that there are families, neighbors, and friends, who are willing and able to donate.  We realize that some of these experiences may look different in our current school year. The PTSA remains committed to supporting Oak Hill students.

Previous Fundraiser November 19, 2020: Proceeds $1,100

This year the Oak Hill PTSA will be further supporting technology in the classroom with Give to the Max proceeds. Technology has revolutionized the way we think, work, and play. Technology, when integrated into the curriculum, revolutionizes the learning process. Studies show that technology integration in the curriculum improves students' learning processes and outcomes.

Previous Fundraiser May 2020: Proceeds $430 + $250 prize money

This 2019-20 school year the Oak Hill Elementary community missed out on two fun PTSA family events.  Our March Bingo and the Last Blast Spring Picnic with Silent Auction Baskets.  These events not only bring us together with many memories, but they are big fundraisers for the PTSA and Oak Hill students.  In previous years these events have been known to bring in over $5,000 for our school.  This Give At Home MN Week, May 1-8th 2020, please consider donating to the Oak Hill PTSA. These donations benefit EVERY student at Oak Hill!

Previous Fundraiser November 2018 and 2019: Proceeds: $1,300 + $1,000 prize money

The PTSA is pleased to announce that ALL students will attend a GREAT Theatre show, during a field trip again this 2019-20 year.  This is opportunity comes from your generous contributions and participation in PTSA events and fundraisers. With your support the PTSA hopes to sustain this experience for years to come!

During the 2019-20 school year students will attend the following shows:

October: Alice in Wonderland ~ 1st and 2nd grade

November: Rainbow Fish Musical ~ Kindergarten

February: Newsies ~ 4th and 5th grade

Akeelah and the Bee ~ 3rd grade
