Nrheg Secondary

NRHEG High School is a grade 6-12 building located in New Richland, MN.

The Agricultural Education program at NRHEG is in the process of raising funds to build a greenhouse and garden facility.  The ultimate goal will be to have a year round greenhouse building with adjacent raised bed or urban style "box" gardens.  The purpose being to accomplish the following goals;

1. Provide students in grades 6-12 with hands on opportunities to study plants and learn about food production in various settings.

2. Provide the program with potential fundraising activities and as such teach business planning and management skills.

3. Provide fresh "home grown" produce to the school cafeteria for the student population to enjoy.

4. Teach sustainability in food production and composting on a school wide scale.
