By the end of 2023, over 1300 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens will come through the doors of Northwoods Humane Society in need of help. Additionally, our vet team will provide spay/neuter, medical care, and other necessary surgeries for more than 1000 additional dogs and cats from other rescue organizations. The fees we collect for surrenders, adoptions and services to other rescues make up less than half of what we need to provide these services in our community. The rest of our support comes from people like you. I hope that you will consider making a donation during Give to the Max to support the animals who need you!

During November, we focus on raising money for our Above And Beyond Fund. All of the cats and dogs who come to Northwoods receive the love and care, food, housing, enrichment, basic medical care and spay/neuter surgery before we help them find their new family. But some animals needs a little more care - treatment, medication, surgery, behavioral training with a professional, or other specialized resources  before they're ready to find their new, loving homes. The Above And Beyond Fund ensures that we have the ability to help those animals.

**Join us on Give To The Max Day on Thursday, November 16, on Facebook or Instagram as we share stories of the animals who've been helped by the Above And Beyond Fund during the past year!**

Northwoods Humane Society was founded in 1975 by a group of caring individuals who saw a need for sheltering animals in Chisago County. All of these animals were housed in foster homes until we opened for our location in Wyoming, MN. We provide services to surrender pets, adopt pets and have a variety of low cost spay and neuter programs available to the public. All adoptable animals remain in our care until they find new homes.

Mission
