Northwoods Friends of the Arts

Our mission is to Inspire, Nurture, and Celebrate the arts in our region.

This all-volunteer organization, NWFA (NorthWoods Friends of the Arts) began in 2011 creating a Spring Art Expo in Cook to provide local artists with a venue to display and celebrate their work, inspiring others to explore and discover their own art and talents.

We celebrate art through multiple events during the year, like Music in the Park, Piatigorsky, and provide art classes for elementary age children through senior citizens. We operate the NWFA Gallery in downtown Cook to support local artists by facilitating sales of their artwork. We have over 100 members, comprised of both artists and arts supporters, and are a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
