Northern Lights Chorale

The Northern Lights Chorale is an 80-voice auditioned ensemble that performs music from a variety of genres.

As a 100% volunteer organization, our mission is to:

·       Provide a quality choral experience for singers and audiences.

·       Explore new repertoire and sing music of the masters.

·       Perform with utmost musical integrity through collaborative and persistent effort of all participants.

Directed by Bruce Phelps, a leader in choral music locally and nationally for over 30 years, the chorale continues to inspire and evoke feelings of joy, love, heartache, and peace through music. The ensemble meets weekly in the northern suburbs to rehearse, fine-tune, and celebrate choral music.

For many, the option to participate in an elite level choir disappears after high school or college. The Northern Lights Chorale provides adult men and women with an avenue to perform high quality music. The singers, director, and support staff are all volunteers; no one gets paid.

However, this doesn't mean expenses don't add up. Performance and rehearsal venues have rental fees and licensed music for 80 members costs money. Guest accompanists do not perform for free.

Your gift will help pay for these expenses.

Please consider making a recurring donation. Just $15 a month covers one piece of music for the entire chorale. A one-time gift of $75 pays for rehearsal space for one night.

Your support is what makes it possible for us to continue to share the music of so many great composers. Thank you!
