We Are RED! (respectful, enthusiastic, determined)

North Branch Area Middle School, serving grades 6-8 is a great place for students to bridge the transition from their primary years of learning to secondary. The motto at NBAMS is "We are RED" (respectful, enthusiastic, and determined).

Beginning in sixth grade, students at NBAMS are issued a school district-owned Chromebook. Equal access to a Chromebook allows staff to provide developmentally and educationally appropriate learning activities for the active middle school student. Each student begins their school day with a 25-minute advisory period. This time is best used to connect with a teacher when assistance is needed with an assignment, participate in grade-level appropriate team building activities, or have engaging teachers who place an emphasis on hands-on, experiential learning opportunities.

NBAMS also offers band/choir, Spanish and more!

Character education is very important at NBAMS. Throughout the middle school experience, students are encouraged to make positive behavioral and social decisions while expressing their individuality in an appropriate manner.

Middle school teachers deliver a combination of rigorous and experiential learning activities to pique the intense curiosity of the middle school learner. Teachers engage students in a variety of learning activities so each meets his/her full academic potential. Students are respected and supported at the middle school as they take on the additional challenges and responsibilities of adolescence and continue to make progress toward their educational milestones.  NBAMS utilizes the “Be Good People” curriculum, which helps students to grow in their social and emotional learning.
