The 2022-2023 season celebrates the "Second Generation" of the National Lutheran Choir under the leadership of Artistic Director David Cherwien. Throughout the season, we connect with the 20+ years of music, collaborations, commissions, and so much more.

Our fall began with All Saints: Life Changed, not Taken Away featuring John Rutter's iconic Requiem. For those unable to join us, we released a unique virtual All Saints program, The Journey Home, which is available throughout November on NLCA.com and our YouTube channel (watch and subscribe to the channel here).

The annual NLC Christmas Festival will include favorites from the past two decades, and as always, communal singing of carols alongside readings and meditations reverberating throughout the Basilica of Saint Mary.

Winter 2023 will include a Virtual Showcase, exclusive to Virtual Subscribers We will host our annual Tune-up for church choirs and choristers with clinician Anton Armstrong, and embark on a Regional U.S. Tour to Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester (MN), First-Plymouth Church in Lincoln (NE), and First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls (SD), and will include a new work by celebrated composer and conductor Dr. Marques Garrett.

Our season culminates in a weekend like no other celebrating our Second Generation with David Cherwien. The weekend will include a Hymn Festival, God Has Called Us, our annual Gala, From Strength to Strength, and our final Spring Concert with David, Ventures Known and Unknown. Featuring "Director's Choice" repertoire throughout the weekend, as well as alumni, guest artists from the past 20 years, and so much more, this final weekend is one not to be missed.
