Help 130 Kids Get Their Very Own Beds this Give to the Max Day! 

Your donation helps My Very Own Bed provide new beds and Dream Kits to kids throughout the Twin Cities. With the support of Cornerstone Auto, Mike Vennewitz, and two other individual donors, your gifts up to $15,500 will be matched dollar for dollar. 

Donate early and give the gift of a good night's sleep to more children in our community. Every $300 raised helps support one more child receiving a new bed of their very own. And each donation of any size gives My Very Own Bed a chance to win up to $10,000 in GiveMN prizes!

My Very Own Bed provides new beds and linens to children of families who have recently secured stable housing in the Twin Cities. For families who have experienced homelessness, finding stable housing is an exciting and powerful step. But it’s not the end of the story: Families often struggle to afford furnishings for their new home, including beds for their children.

A bed makes a big impact in a child's life!

My Very Own Bed focuses on new beds for kids because of the health benefits that a comfortable place to sleep provides children. Good sleep helps children fight off illness, enhances their growth, improves their confidence and mental health, and helps them perform better in school.

For a kid, a bed is more than a piece of furniture. It’s a place to bounce, to launch superhero flights, and a place to snuggle under the covers on a cold night or when they’re sick. The comfort of a real bed allows children to enter the stages of sleep that allow them to wake up fully rested. 

Your gift in any amount supports children having a place to sleep, dream, and grow.

$50 — Snuggles a child with a blanket and sheets.

$100 — Provides a personalized Dream Kit that includes sheets, a blanket, a pillow, a mattress pad, a stuffed animal, and a book.

$200 — Supplies a new mattress and platform frame to help a child get a good night's sleep.

$300 — Front door delivery of a new bed and Dream Kit to a child by My Very Own Bed.
