Mutt Mutt Engine

Mutt Mutt Engine helps dogs on the frontlines of abuse, neglect and overpopulation by offering triage and general medical care, nutrition, shelter and love.  Our once-critical dogs are healed with tenderness and patience, and when healthy we find them homes and rescues to cherish them, and then we deliver them too!  

By helping the most in-need dogs in some of the toughest places, we offer hope, outlet and foster a culture of rescue in places where it is most needed, but still fledgling.  The support Mutt Mutt Engine offers saves dogs' lives while simultaneously helping our fellow rescuers who daily toil in nearly unbearable circumstances.  

Imagine living in a place where dogs suffer at large, and having no infrastructure to help them - no local shelter, no humane society, no money for kibble or vet bills.  Imagine not just the misery the dogs endure, but the heartbreak of fellow dog lovers who must bear witness, with limited resources to help.  Mutt Mutt Engine is that help.  Mutt Mutt Engine is that resource.  With our assistance, a rescue culture can grow and flourish.  Local front-line rescuers can believe in a brighter future, and can keep going.  

Founded by artist/musician/filmmaker Chris Mars and his writer/photographer wife Sally, Mutt Mutt Engine takes an inherently creative approach to rescue.  By getting our "mutt mutts" ready for the world, we make it easy for receiving rescues focused on adoption to say "yes" to them.  Thus, dogs from awful places with no help can be welcomed by lovely places and into loving families, building cooperation and community on local and global scales.  

Whether it is stocking a food shelf with pet food, conducting sterilization and vaccination clinics, privately helping a pet owner address acute or permanent needs, or our core work supporting shelters and fellow rescuers in the Southern U.S., Southern California, Texas and Mexico, our goal is that every dog have a safe and loving home, every dog lover find joy and comfort and that, and the need for an organization like ours to be obsolete!  

Mutt Mutt Engine:  We help people who love dogs find dogs love.  We help people who help dogs find dogs help.  

Dogs have enriched our lives profusely.  We donate our time and efforts in return.  Mutt Mutt Engine pays no salaries or overhead, and charges no fees of any kind for our services or dogs ever.  Every penny of your support goes right to the heart of our mission.
