Music Therapy Association of Minnesota

The mission of the Music Therapy Association of Minnesota, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization:

We strive to enhance quality music therapy services in the state of Minnesota through providing engaging and relevant education opportunities to members and the public, supporting the professional community, advocating for professional recognition, and fostering community partnerships. 

For Give to the Max Day, we will be raising funds to help new music therapists pay for the fee associated with taking the final test to become a board certified music therapist (MT-BC). The Certification Board for Music Therapists assessment costs $325. This has become a significant barrier for new professionals just finishing college and their internship. We would like to provide 4 scholarships to cover this fee for new professionals, one of which will be reserved for a music therapist that identifies as BIPOC.
