For over 60 years, Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) has delivered compassionate, person-centered disability and mental health services across Minnesota. Each year, we support more than 4,500 children and adults—empowering lives through innovation, inclusivity, and community partnership.

 

This Give to the Max season, we’re taking on one of the most urgent issues facing our community:

 

🆘 The Youth Mental Health Crisis

Right now, Minnesota is in a youth mental health emergency. Families in crisis have nowhere to turn. Children as young as five are being held in emergency rooms for weeks—even months—because there aren’t enough safe, supportive places for them to go.

📊 The reality in our state:

• Over 1,000 children were boarded in ERs across the Twin Cities in 2023

• Average wait time for placement: 3 to 4 months

• Hospitals lost over $500 million trying to fill the gap

• Since 2005, 888 mental health crisis beds for children have been eliminated.

This is more than a system failure—it’s a human rights crisis.

MORA is stepping up to meet this need—but we can’t do it without you. Your donation will help us build, equip, and staff new therapeutic homes for children in crisis.

Our homes are designed for youth ages 5 to 17 facing mental health challenges. They offer a safe, secure environment with 24/7 one-on-one support, helping children stabilize while providing crucial support and education to caregivers.
