A spinal cord injury isn’t something one plans for.  It’s not a disease that has genetic markers that can be identified with sophisticated testing, or a hereditary lineage.  A spinal cord injury comes out of nowhere.  At any time.  Delivering a devastating diagnosis – PARALYSIS. 

At MCPF we know a spinal cord injury is a multifaceted problem.  A cure will require multiple discoveries and collaboration.  That’s why we support science that looks at the problem of paralysis from all disciplines.  We utilize our peer review process to bring the most exciting research ideas to the next level and then to those living with paralysis.
