Welcome

Welcome to Morris Park Players! Founded in 1952, we are Minneapolis's longest operating volunteer-led community theater, with a history of over 100 productions! MPP began as the Morris Park Father Singers in Spring 1952. Over the years, the group transformed and expanded its repertoire, first changing in 1968 to the Morris Park Singers, and again in 1981 to its present name, Morris Park Players.

Today we celebrate our status as a true community theater, providing opportunities for individuals to develop their skills, whether onstage or off, while more importantly developing community, making friends, and finding the joy only theater can bring.

Mission Statement

Morris Park Players engages the community in theater that celebrates and encourages the talents of all. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

How To Help

Morris Park Players recently ended a 13-year tenure at Edison High School and are now in the process of finding a new home. We have very clear goals in mind: remain in Minneapolis--our home for over 70 years, keep tickets affordable, and hold community building at the core of everything we do.

We have embraced an "on the road" existence, which comes with both new challenges and fabulous opportunities. Your donation today directly supports the venue rental costs that will come with our next season, which will allow us to produce high quality shows and begin to build funds for our future home.

Please consider helping Morris Park Players continue to grow our artistic outreach in the Twin Cities area. Our sincerest thank you in advance for any donation you can make!
