More Than a Single Story (MTASS) was founded in 2016 by Black author/arts leader, Carolyn Holbrook, with a mission to present cross-cultural readings and public conversations led by BIPOC artists and culture bearers discussing issues of importance to them and their cultural communities. We engage broad public audiences with a goal to strengthen understanding that leads to empowerment for communities that have experienced discrimination and oppression.
