Montevideo Creatives builds access, education, and opportunity for young, beginning, emerging, and established artists in order to foster a more vibrant and welcoming community.

• By integrating Montevideo’s historical artistic endeavors with our collective future, we will create artful experiences in this moment, mindful of our current presence on Dakota Homeland.
• With art as a foundation, we will operate in a spirit of inclusivity to foster an intergenerational community, mental wellness, and foster fellowship through artistic endeavors that provide opportunities for nurturing connection, commonality, creativity, and expression.

WHO?

• Existent and new artists will be supported and cultivated with intergenerational engagement, multicultural inclusion, extravagant welcome, and radical hospitality.
• Newcomers will feel welcome to participate in expanded opportunities to create and appreciate art.
• Arts advocates will be cultivated.
• Community members will convene in spaces that are enhanced and developed to foster access and comfort with art, music, prose, poetry, and theater experiences.
• Tourists and transplants will join locals in the appreciation of an attractive and art-rich town.

HOW?

• Our intentions include but are not limited to:
  • Creating studio and exhibition spaces.
  • Providing the gift of art through education, programs, and special projects
  • Creating and co-sponsoring events, exhibitions, pop-ups, etc.
• Talents and treasures will be showcased.
• A wide variety of styles, skill levels, and types of art will be encouraged.
• Marketing training will be provided while also augmenting and creating sales outlets.
