But with old age comes new challenges — arthritis, heart and kidney disease, changes in mobility —  health conditions common to all living beings. The Zoo makes a lifelong commitment to every animal that calls it home. But a lifetime of care requires a lifetime of resources  — resources that are only available because of generous people like you.


Each year, the Zoo spends more than $100,000 on habitat modifications for senior animals. Just one hour of laser therapy requires more than $8,000 in equipment. And with the cost of care continuing to rise, the support of our community matters more now than ever before.
