Missed the Boat Theatre

In the four years since Fr. Kyle Kowalcyzk and Mary Shaffer sat at a coffee shop and decided to produce a musical with their spare change, Missed the Boat Theatre has grown (despite Covid!) into a thriving community theatre producing professional-quality work.

Because we experienced such instant success, we forged a double-edged sword: MTBT became defined by its artistic excellence, participant enthusiasm, and packed audiences, yet we didn’t have the infrastructure to sustain the demand for our mission.

In order to grow into the community of Catholic artists we feel called to become, we need to start functioning like a theatre company, not a garage band. Please join our mission and help provide the resources to give our team and actors the support they deserve, so we can continue to make beautiful shows!
