Minnesota Valley Community Band

The Minnesota Valley Community Band began in 1986 under the direction of longtime educator Barry Fox, now Director Emeritus.   Nick Hansberry and Sam Khwice were appointed our new directors in September 2024. Since 1986, we have been providing free concerts for the people of our community, including the cities of Chaska, Chanhassen, Shakopee, Victoria and Waconia. By donating to the Minnesota Valley Community Band you would be providing us with important funding to carry out our goal of providing quality band concerts for the Eastern Carver County community.

The purpose of the Minnesota Valley Community Band is two-fold:  To provide quality musical performances to members of our communities, and to provide a high caliber group where adult community members can continue making music after their high school or college experiences have ended.  Our members travel from all over the southern and western Twin Cities metro area, with the majority from eastern Carver County.  We perform all year around, with several indoor concerts during the school year and outdoor concerts in area parks each summer.
