Together, we are bringing hope, resilience and productive gardens to communities that need them most.

With your support...

  • We put 825 Garden-in-a-Box kits directly in the hands of hard-working service orgs in 42 counties throughout the state. We still had to turn away requests for 171 boxes.  Our Program team is getting ready to build this program for next summer and we don’t want to turn anyone away.
  • We are developing our valuable Resource Hub with GIS mapping technology to connect our services with gardeners.  Gardeners are looking for a reliable, trusted source of gardening information when you go online. We provide that—just for gardeners in our climate.
  • Minnesota Green distributed over 80,000 donated plants from nurseries and wholesalers to public and community gardens, helping beautify and feed neighborhoods across the state.
  • MN SEED Project participants collected, cleaned and shared more than a quarter of a million native seeds in the Twin Cities.
  • We’ve surveyed our members and they have told us that Northern Gardener magazine is their favorite member benefit. This is a zone-specific, award-winning publication with content written by local experts and edited exclusively for gardeners in our climate.
  • Nearly 2,000 participants joined one of our many low-cost classes on a variety of gardening topics, and community garden coordinators attended free of charge. Translating our popular webinar series for new growers into multiple languages lowers barriers and supports access for many people learning to grow in a new environment.

Thank you for digging deep and helping us grow gardeners.
