for individual and community healing, equity, and transformation.

We prepare individuals and organizations for truth-telling and repairing harm for healed, just, equitable relationship toward the possibility of reconciliation.

Our vision is making Minnesota the Peacebuilding Power State for All.

Since 2010, the Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute (aka Peacebuilding) has provided evidence-based community education trainings and racial healing and equity talking circles to transform psychological trauma into nonviolent power with positive, productive alternatives to revenge.

Peacebuilding's mission is to instigate, train, and support racially, sexually, religiously, ethnically, culturally, and economically diverse individuals and organizations to become trauma-informed, resilience-oriented, and restorative justice-focused, empowering communities in Minnesota, the USA, and around the world.

Our over 8,000 graduates report increased confidence to address psychological trauma, break cycles of violence, and build resilience using restorative justice-focused strategies within their spheres of influence. 33% of our graduates are people of color and 80% are women.
