The MacDonalds are focused on funding new ovarian cancer research to prevent recurrences.
“I’m an eight-time ovarian cancer survivor. Through the years, I’ve met many ovarian cancer survivors who ran out of options. We need to find a durable cure,” said Pam.
Pam was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 19 years ago. Since then, The MacDonalds have been committed to finding a cure. They started their annual Spin It Teal event back in 2013, bringing survivors and supporters together to raise funds for MOCA.
This year, the MacDonalds are celebrating their 10th and final year of Spin It Teal during MOCA’s Give to the Max Day campaign. Over the past decade, Spin It Teal and Give to the Max Day supporters have helped fund eight research projects totaling nearly $1 MILLION!
“Thank you to everyone who has contributed generously to Spin It Teal and Give to the Max over the past 10 years. We are grateful for the progress that’s being made, but we still need more research to prevent recurrences. Pam and I will continue to be generous donors of MOCA,” said Bob.
The MacDonalds are matching the first $20,000 in donations to MOCA’s Spin It Teal and Give to the Max Day efforts from November 1-17! This year, Spin It Teal is a completely virtual event. Spin, run, walk or do your favorite activity anytime between now and November 17. Dedicate your workout to MOCA, and donate to support ovarian cancer research!
