Minnesota Masters Swimming LMSC

A nonprofit organization

Minnesota Masters Swimming is a volunteer-run, 501c(3) non-profit organization that facilitates swimming competition, fitness training, learn-to-swim programs for adults, educational opportunities, and promotes many other activities to advance a variety of swimming-related activities for adults. We are dedicated to a healthy swimming lifestyle for adult swimmers within 87 counties in Minnesota and 3 in Western Wisconsin. MN Masters is the local governing body for United States Masters Swimming (USMS).

There are 1,172 registered swimmers in the Minnesota LMSC and over 60,000 nationwide. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.

A recent addition to the Minnesota LMSC is the Minnesota Masters Swimming Foundation, charged with providing opportunities in the form of financial help for our members whose personal resources fall short of that required for participation in the Masters Swimming experience. This help can be wide-ranging, some examples of which might be, help with meet entry fees, swim club dues, USMS or LMSC annual membership fees, clinic fees, or similar expenses.

While the Board of Directors has authorized money for the Foundation’s purposes, one of the long-range goals of the Foundation is to become self-sustaining through the generosity of our members.

This page provides an opportunity for you to help in our effort to make swimming accessible to all, with a donation to the Minnesota Masters Swimming Foundation, or one of several LMSC activities that promote swimming opportunities for our members.
