The Minnesota High School Cycling League, founded in 2012, is a state-wide independent activity provider for student-athletes in 7th to 12th grade. Our mission is to build strong bodies, strong minds and strong character through cycling, regardless of ability level.
Simply put, we get kids on bikes. Student-athletes from 7th through 12th grade come from all corners of the state to participate in races and programs. The majority of these kids have never ridden a mountain bike, let alone raced prior to participating in the league. Our association has grown from just over a hundred riders to over 1,500 riders!
The MN League has become more than a racing program, we are a youth development program. Each year, our program adds hundreds of new student-athletes, coaches, and volunteers. We firmly believe that cycling and an outdoor experience will leave a lasting impression on young minds and bodies.
With the cooperation of local race organizers, our partners, and our sponsors we are able to provide a high quality mountain biking experience. Thank you.
How will the donations be used?
Financial donations to the MN League would be used to alleviate expenditures for a variety of areas. The items below are examples of typical costs that continue to grow as our community grows.
Expanding our scholarship program, alleviating race day expenses or purchasing additional bikes for our loaner bike program. Supporting our GRiT (Girls riding together initiative), alleviating the cost to train and license new coaches, insurance fees, event venue costs, medical support, scoring and timing costs, renting portable toilets, printing costs for race plates, banners, race tape, pins and fencing....and yes, gas for the trailers and trucks to get everything to the race venues!
Thank you in advance for your support.
