Since 1962, MDT has remained loyal to Loyce Houlton’s legacy and vision for a synergetic dance company and school – an ecosystem nourishing Twin Cities artists and audiences of all ages and bringing the best in dance performance to our local stages.

ARTISTIC QUALITY: Continue MDT’s vision of producing quality artistic performances by investing in reimagined legacy works and collaborations with community creators to produce new works for the stage. 

COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Increase community access to dance education and the arts through community outreach programs such as our free Nutcracker educational matinee in collaboration with community public schools.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION: Further MDT’s environment of inclusion by focusing on diversity and equity in MDT’s productions to better reflect our community and values at MDT.
