Minnesota Children’s Museum is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2021.
For 40 years the Minnesota Children’s Museum has been sparking children’s learning through play. We’ve grown so much since our 1981 first home in a renovated warehouse in Minneapolis. Each change in the last 40 years has been responding to the needs of the community and continuing to be a place of gathering that’s welcome to all.
As we celebrate this milestone, this year comes at a critical time for the museum. We need your help to make sure we can continue to provide a space for children to play and remain a resource for the community.
We can't do this without you.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for Minnesota Children's Museum. We are once again welcoming visitors back to the museum, but the stresses of the pandemic have made a devastating impact on our revenue.
Research continues to confirm how vital play is for children’s health, and children have been challenged over the last year in ways we could never have anticipated. For this reason we remain committed to providing resources to the community even outside of our walls.
Play is important – it builds bodies and brains while reducing toxic stress and inspiring joy. With your support, we will remain a critical resource for so many.
Your gift today will ensure the museum will emerge from this crisis as strong as possible so we can continue to carry out the critical mission of sparking children's learning through play.
For decades, we have provided learning and joy for more than 12 million visitors and others receiving impact from our programs. With you, we can ensure that joy continues for decades to come.
