Inspiring Minnesota one cantata at a time!

With vibrant performances of the music of J.S. Bach and his contemporaries, the Minnesota Bach Ensemble is dedicated to directly connecting with its audience through personal and engaging concert experiences.

MBE is a chamber orchestra consisting of some of the finest Twin Cities' musicians led by Co-Artistic Directors Linh Kauffman and Tami Morse. Its unique mix of period performance practice on modern instruments electrifies the music of the 18th century, re-capturing its relevance to our time.

MBE performs in the beautiful Antonello Hall in Minneapolis, and members of MBE speak during the concert, sharing their passion and knowledge of the music. We seek to engage and enrich the lives of our audiences with these intimate performances, presenting masterworks as well as overlooked gems of the Barqoue repertoire.
