A nonprofit organization

Explore. Discover. Connect.

Farmamerica was established by the Minnesota legislature in 1978 to preserve and promote the State’s agricultural heritage.  It is located on 360 acres in south-central Minnesota, the heart of the GreenSeam region, in the midst of some of this nation’s most productive farmland. Since its establishment, Farmamerica has grown to serve thousands of visitors annually, supporting agricultural literacy, environmental awareness and lifelong learning.

Farmamerica, Minnesota’s Agricultural Interpretive Center, seeks to provide opportunities for people to explore, discover and connect with the evolution of agriculture and its relationship to the world around them. Highlighting the importance of agriculture, and its significant role in our everyday lives helps close the farm-to-fork knowledge gap.

Currently, Farmamerica is going through our Rooted and Growing Capital Campaign. This campaign will help us develop new programs to reach a broader audience, build an inclusive agricultural themed playground, and renovate our visitor center to focus on telling the story of today's agriculture. Will you help us continue to raise funds for our Capital Campaign featured below?
