At Farmamerica, Minnesota’s Agricultural Interpretive Center, you can explore, discover, and connect with the evolution of agriculture and its relationship to the world around you through unique, hands-on experiences. Less than 2% of Minnesotans grow food for 100% of us. We must intentionally share the impact farmers have on every Minnesotan's life.  

Farmamerica serves thousands of visitors annually and supports agricultural literacy, environmental awareness, and lifelong learning. With a mix of school-age field trips, tours through historic buildings, and fun-filled family events, Farmamerica's audience spans all generations.

Farmamerica was established by the Minnesota legislature in 1978 to preserve and promote the State’s agricultural heritage.  It is located on 360 acres in south-central Minnesota, the heart of the GreenSeam region, in the midst of some of this nation’s most productive farmland. 

Last year we opened our brand new Discovery Center, thanks to supporters like you! Through hands-on experiences and scavenger hunts, it illustrates the relevance of agriculture all around us as part of our Rooted & Growing capital campaign. This year we raise funds to support and build upon our youth programs focused on outdoor exploration and celebrating today's innovations in agriculture.
