This Give to the Max Day, let's GROW family medicine!

Help us raise $32,000 to send 40 Minnesota medical students to the 2027 American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) FUTURE conference (formerly the National Conference), July 30-August 1, 2027, in Kansas City, Missouri.

FUTURE brings together medical students, residents and family medicine leaders from across the country for three days of career exploration, connection, education and inspiration.

For Minnesota students, it can be a pivotal experience—helping them see the breadth of family medicine, connect with residencies and envision where they might fit in the specialty.

WHY FUTURE MATTERS

FUTURE gives students opportunities to:

• Explore the full scope of family medicine and its many career paths.
• Connect with residencies, mentors, employers and peers from across the country.
• Build skills and confidence through educational sessions and hands-on workshops.
• Develop as future leaders through leadership and advocacy opportunities.

For students considering family medicine, these experiences can turn an interest in the specialty into a clearer vision for their future.

The impact in Minnesota:

• 604 Minnesota medical students have attended AAFP FUTURE with MAFP Foundation support since 2003.
• 80% of graduates who attended with the MAFP chose family medicine.
