We love musicals - and we bet you do too.

Support Minneapolis Musical Theatre's mission of providing quality, affordable works of musical theatre that have been rarely - or never before - seen by Twin Cities audiences.

Since our founding in 1992, Minneapolis Musical Theatre has brought over 40 area premieres to the Twin Cities, including several award-winning productions. Our 2019-2020 season presented two more area premieres - "Night of the Living Dead! The Musical!" and "Daddy Long Legs" - before COVID-19 cut the rest of it short.

MMT depends on ticket sales for our shows along with contributions from individuals and companies in our community. We are a small organization and every single dollar counts. We’ve been working to increase the pay of our artists and technicians while continuing to keep ticket prices affordable. Without ticket sales from productions throughout 2020 and most of ‘21 and ‘22, donations have become an extremely vital source to make future productions possible.

We are committed to creating theatre even in any setting. In September 2021 we returned in a limited capacity with “Minne-Musicals,” a collection of five 10-minute musicals produced in partnership with Hennepin Theatre Trust and The Chambers Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. Along with paid tickets, 325 free passes were issued for "Minne-Musicals" - allowing MMT to make a dramatic investment in economic accessibility.  April 2022 saw an area premiere: an innovatively staged in the showroom of a local car dealership of “Hands on a Hardbody,” the musical based on a real-life endurance contest in which ten hard-luck Texans compete to win a Nissan pickup truck.

We’re excited to finally return to a full 2022-23 season with December’s production of “Striking 12,” followed in February by “Analog and Vinyl” and in April by “Othello: The Remix.” Visit www.aboutmmt.org/2022-23-season for more information about our upcoming season!

As theatre gets back on its feet, your donation this year will have more impact than ever. We hope you'll consider contributing to Minneapolis Musical Theatre and supporting our work!
