It takes more than great dancers to make a great dance company. It takes a community with the dedication and passion to support it. Your support is vital to the production of our performance(s). Your gift enables us to sustain the excellent artistic activities of Minneapolis Ballet Dancers. 

Minneapolis Ballet Dancers (MBD) is a professional ballet company of trained artists. By hiring all local choreographers we hope to create opportunities for the next generation of dancemakers. This kind of opportunity is relatively rare in their field. In a given year, more than 10,000 artists in the U.S. participate in residencies; choreographers, however, make up less than 10 percent. We offer the opportunity for new choreographers to present their works to Minnesota audiences. 

MBD is unique in the fact it allows local youth to work along side professional dancers as apprentices. These apprentices and junior apprentices get to experience what it is like in a professional dancer's day-to-day rehearsals and promotes them to learn what it takes to handle the pressure while performing multiple shows.
