Mercy International Mission aims to improve the quality of life for people in southwestern Nigeria.

When you give to Mercy International Mission, you do more than help provide healthcare - you foster hope.

The vision for Mercy International Mission began after Sunday and Victoria visited their family home in Nigeria in 2005 and became aware of the need to improve the health care conditions and education of their people and to decrease the level of poverty in the local community.

Due to lack of infrastructure, high poverty levels, and extremely limited access to health care services, the World Health Organization ranks Nigeria's life expectancy among the lowest in the world. Mercy International Mission wants to change that, with your help.

Our mission is to provide access to basic health care services for everyone, especially women, children and the elderly, regardless of ability to pay to improve the quality of life in Southwestern Nigeria.

Mercy International's "Village of Hope"

Our biggest project yet is the Village of Hope, designed to meet the needs of Osi-Ekiti and the surrounding villages. It will include a health clinic and lab, pharmacy, community center, guest house, and house our mobile clinic program.  Currently, the Village of Hope is still under construction. A project like this presents many unique and challenging obstacles. We have to build our own roads and bridges to make sure patients can reach the Village. Electricity and water are not easily accessible. Mercy must also build its own wells and power sources in order for the Village to function.

At Mercy, we understand that creating a sustainable health care system is about more than just running a clinic. We also focus on providing resources to foster community growth and vitality. Mercy approaches the issue of healthcare as comprehensively as possible through health education, community development, and infrastructure creation.
