Minnesota Colorectal Cancer Research Foundation

A nonprofit organization

21 donors

Just under one in 24 Americans is diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer during their lifetime, and approximately half of those who get it die from this disease. Historically, 90% of people diagnosed were over age 55. However, the colorectal cancer rate in older people is decreasing thanks to screening, but rising in people under 55 at a rate of 2% per year.

There are no other large organizations that fund colon and rectal cancer research in Minnesota.  We have created the Minnesota Colorectal Cancer Research Foundation, an independent nonprofit foundation, to fund colorectal cancer research.

The mission of the foundation is to build a community of colorectal cancer survivors, and their family and friends, who will work passionately to raise money to fund research that will improve the survival and quality of life of people with colon and rectal cancer.
