Waseca Marching Jays are a competition Marching Band in Southern Minnesota with a long running tradition of music education and performance.

The Waseca Marching Jays have a long-standing tradition of excellence in building students and leaders. We are one of the longest running competitive marching bands in the State of Minnesota.

Teens who participate in music education programs see music as their “social glue,” as a bridge for building acceptance and tolerance for people of different ages and cultural circumstances. These skills carry through for a lifetime of achievements and friendship. We as band boosters see their dedication and leadership spill over every year.

Our band tradition runs deep—Waseca has proudly hosted the Waseca Marching Classic since 1975, one of the longest-running field show events in the region. Along the way, our students have earned an impressive 23 Grand Champion titles at the Sioux Falls Festival of Bands!
