Madison Art and Innovation Center

Hello from the Madison Art and Innovation Center!   We are home to the Madison Mercantile Coffee House so we are often called "The Merc."

We are a 501c3 Non-profit in Madison Minnesota dedicated to building a space for all to thrive.  

Mission:  Provide a welcoming space that supports Community, Art, Well-being and Innovation in our city and our region. 

Vision:  The Madison Art and Innovation Center is an inclusive, equitable and accessible multi-functional space responsive to community needs.  The Center will include an Art Gallery, Stage, Music Room, Classrooms, Studios, Offices, Innovation and Business Support Center, Local Foods space, Wellness room and common use spaces for gathering, growing and learning.  The Center is co-located with a  for-profit coffee house and gift shop that also supports community programs. 

Our core values include Radical Hospitality, Caring Inclusion and Robust Collaboration.  

In three short years we have built space for our community to gather for music, art, dialog and dreaming.  Our space is about 75% finished and now we need to focus on the last 25%.  This will include a Food Aggregation Hub/Community Kitchen, an expanded Community Workshop and a warm accessible Wellness Room and electric vehicle charger.  

The one thing we need to make this happen - More Power!  Our building needs an electrical upgrade that will facilitate the final phase and ensure our spaces are welcoming, accessible and warm!
