MacPhail is a nonprofit community music school, and philanthropy makes what we do possible. Tuition covers only a portion of what it takes to bring high-quality music education to life.

• Provide exceptional music instruction across our sites and into the community.

• Bring free and low-cost programs to the community in schools, senior living facilities, early childhood centers, health clinics and neighborhoods across the Twin Cities and statewide.

• $100 helps supply the essentials — sheet music, ensemble pieces, music stands, and other tools students need to learn and perform.

• $250 provides a student with a year-long instrument rental, opening the door to discovery and growth.

• $500 helps extend financial aid so families can continue lessons that inspire confidence and creativity.

• $750 supports free community programs like the Northside Youth Orchestra and Community Youth Choir, ensuring every young musician has a place to belong.

• $1,700 covers a full year of lessons (fall and spring semesters) for a dedicated student pursuing their musical goals.

• $2,500 provides one student’s full tuition for an entire year—a life-changing investment in their music education and future.
