$5,000 Goal

Maayanot is building the first inclusive and pluralistic mikveh (ritual bath) in Minnesota. Our mission is to reclaim and renew the ancient Jewish ritual of mikveh immersion in a sacred space that provides a welcoming and meaningful way for all Jews, and those choosing Judaism, to mark life transitions.

The Minnesota Jewish community needs an open mikveh because:

• Immersion in a mikveh is essential for conversion to Judaism, and Minnesota must have a mikveh that is truly pluralistic and welcoming to all.

• Every Jewish person deserves access to a mikveh to mark important life transitions and milestones.

• Our community needs compelling ways to engage and inspire new generations.

Maayanot has the support from all of Minnesota's Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and modern Orthodox congregations, the St. Paul Jewish Federation, the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, and many generous individual and family donors, and a growing list of businesses.

As of February 2025, Maayanot is temporarily facilitating clergy-led immersions, such as conversions and affirmations, at the St. Paul Mikvah*, which is under the auspices of Chabad.  Read more about this partnership in a tcJewfolk article here.

Your tax-deductible donation builds the foundation for Maayanot’s planning phase, construction, and early operations. Every gift is a meaningful demonstration of community support.

Thank you!
