A Community of Faith United in Working for Peace and Justice!

LVC Volunteers commit to a year or semester of working for social justice, living in intentional community and practicing radical simple, sustainable living. Volunteers come from across the country, and serve in St. Paul/Minneapolis  MN, Chicago IL, Wilmington DE, Baltimore MD, Washington DC,  and Omaha NE. They spend their term working for local nonprofit organizations doing work focused on everything from food justice, housing, and worker's rights to mental health issues. Partnering with their placements, LVC Volunteers provide direct service, community organizing, indirect service, advocacy and public policy.  They gain valuable skills that will help them continue in their work for peace with social justice.

A gift to LVC supports our current Volunteers in their program and continues to foster a community of support as LVC Volunteers go on to work in the field of social justice. Your gift is an investment in an individual life - and an investment in the future of our country.
