Lighthouse Ministries Childrens Village

Lighthouse Ministries Children's Village (LMCV) provides shelter and basic needs of survival to the homeless and orphaned children in Buchanan, Liberia. 

Currently, there are 50 children being cared for at LMCV by 15 dedicated staff and 5 teachers who volunteer their time every day. 

Your donations help pay for educational materials for the children, including food, clothing, shoes, bedding, hygiene items, crafts and are also used to support the ongoing construction  needed on campus.

One of our immediate and primary concerns are the future of our older orphans. Once they turn 18, they are no longer able to stay at the orphanage. 

Unfortunately, Sex Trafficking is very prevalent in Buchanan so it's critical that our orphans are taught skills that they can take with them once they leave the orphanage. 

Please help protect these children from being lured into sex trafficking by donating today. 

To help solve this concern, we are building a classroom to teach the children how to use computers. We need funds to supply the laptops, software, finish the building, and buy educational materials.

 In 2017, LMCV became a 501c3 nonprofit. Since then, our Board, volunteers and generous donors have made amazing progress in updating the LMCV campus buildings that include school buildings, housing, a church, a cafeteria, a water tower and a chicken coop. We have organized two mission trips and plan to host more once travel restrictions are lifted. With our two mission trips in the past two years, we bought two sewing machines and taught the staff and children how to sew. We are teaching them how to garden,
