Thanks for supporting the 'Living Room for the Homeless!'
Listening House is a day shelter and community center providing hospitality, practical assistance, and counsel to people who are homeless, disadvantaged, or lonely.
Our founders aspired to reach the "inner needs of the poor" by giving attention to individual stories as a way to recognize people. Listening remains the cornerstone of our mission. For many, our living room is their place to share good news, work through a problem, or seek guidance when they don't know where else to turn. We serve upwards of 225 adults per day, offering hygiene products, resource referrals, transportation assistance, clothing, telephone services, and a place to have mail sent to.
Any donations made in memorial will have acknowledgments sent to the person's family.
We thank you for your support!
And we always welcome phone calls (651-227-5911) or emails (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions, feedback or anything else!
“Coming to Listening House made me feel I’d entered a different dimension because of the eyes of staff and volunteers - Eyes that were open and told you that you were worth something, a valuable member of the human race.” Richard, a former guest
