LifeGate Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in 2014 and is a place where community members of all backgrounds are welcome and served through food supplementation, health education, and wellness programs. LifeGate Services is a place where lives are touched, and hope is restored.  LifeGate Services currently serves an average of 500 underserved family members monthly through its food shelf and mobile food shelf and provides food access, especially to the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities with nutritious cultural foods.

LifeGate Sevices has purchased a van and added a mobile food shelf program to bring fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, grains, and other high-quality groceries directly to meet Rochester community members where they are—who do not have easy access to full-service supermarkets, grocery stores, or food shelves. This increases access to food nutrition and decreases families' barriers to securing food.

LifeGate Services volunteers are crucial to its existence and mission of addressing food insecurity, well-being, and promoting a healthy community. In addition to the mobile food shelf, LifeGate Services also:

- Organizes an annual Community Health Fair in partnership with SAGE of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic to provide free mammogram screening for women ages 40+

- Free echocardiograms

- Partners with Bridges Health of Winona State University to provide health screenings to increase early intervention

The LifeGate Services-Bridges Health joint Food + Health vision is already bringing accessible health services to at-risk families served by LifeGate Services.

Your donation will help us reach our $5,000 goal to sustain LifeGate Services’ programs in providing food and health access to BIPOC communities in Rochester.
