Lester Park Elementary School Foundation

The Lester Park Elementary School Foundation believes in investing in our children, teachers, and the Lester Park School community.

The Lester Park Elementary School Foundation raises money to provide enriching and unique opportunities for Lester Park Elementary students to grow both within and outside of the classroom.  The funds raised by LPF help ensure that teachers have what they need to promote excellence in their classrooms and students have opportunities for enrichment that would otherwise not be provided.

Through the generous contributions by our donors, The Lester Park Elementary School Foundation funds:

Teacher grants totaling thousands of dollars per year for classroom items that benefit curriculum not covered by the school's budget.  

The LPF also sponsors the "Roots and Wings Garden and Outdoor Classroom." This space is a natural learning environment for science, nutrition, math, weather, and art.  It is also a great classroom for our non-traditional learners.

We also sponsor beginner and competition Lego Robotics classes for grades 3-5.  Robotics is an exciting way to bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics to our students.

After school language club allows students in grades K-5 to explore and experience other languages (including sign language) and culture through story, dance, song, food, games, and history.

After school Destination Imagination for grades K-5 inspires and equips students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders.  DI is focused on creative thinking, critical thinking and collaborative problem solving.

Established in 2002 as a non-profit organization, the Lester Park Elementary School Foundation has provided support through volunteers and funding benefiting our students, teachers and the Lester Park community.  Donations are used to address current needs and to build an endowment fund, which will grow and continue to provide support for years to come.
