Leslie J Daly Memorial Fund

Since 1983, Hopkins Dance Company has provided exceptional dance training for students of all types. Whether you'd like to dance professionally, just get moving, or improve coordination, we offer something for everyone. HDC has also been a driving force in developing and raising the standards for competitive dance and, in particular, ballet. 

In the summer of 2008, Leslie Daly founded the  Hopkins Youth Ballet (HYB)  with a mission to provide a training ground for those students who are eager to experience firsthand how a professional dance company works. HYB is funded in part by the Leslie J Daly Memorial Fund. The LJD Fund was established in 2018 to honor the legacy of Leslie Daly with the goal of enhance training and performance opportunities for youth. HYB is funded in part by the Leslie J Daly Memorial Fund.

In expanding the spectrum of performing opportunities, Hopkins Youth Ballet has created partnerships with other Twin Cities schools. This unique cooperation has fostered new and exciting friendships and performances outside of the competition arena.

Learning new repertoire and working with a choreographer, individual and group coaching in different styles, personal responsibility, development of performing skills and technical excellence are the primary goals of HYB.

HDC recognizes the importance of a healthy learning space, and we strive to provide that for our students. We believe that Any Body Can Dance. Through the LJD Fund we are able to give dancers performance opportunities, provide team building workshops, and continue to enrich our students' dancing journey.
