A Tale of Two Survivors
$300 Raised
Read about our latest fundraiser here:
Meet Magdalena, a gentle 6-year-old dog from the Bahamas with a heart full of love and a story marked by unimaginable resilience. Magdalena lost most of her right back leg due to a heartbreaking act of human cruelty. Despite this trauma, she’s fought to live a joyful life on three legs — but now, even that is slipping away.
Magdalena has recently been diagnosed with severe degenerative joint disease (DJD) in her left hip — the only back leg she has left to stand on. As the disease progresses, simple activities like going on walks or running have become a painful challenge.
She is still young and wants to enjoy life — to run, to play, to be pain-free. But she needs our help.
We’re raising funds to give Magdalena the best possible chance at a happy, mobile future. Donations will go directly toward:
Specialist veterinary appointments and evaluations
Pain management and long-term medications
Exploring and acquiring a custom prosthetic or wheelchair support to improve her mobility and quality of life
Magdalena’s spirit is unbroken, and with your support, we can give her the comfort, mobility, and freedom she deserves. No donation is too small — every dollar brings us closer to giving this sweet survivor the second chance she has fought so hard for.

Meet Hiley, a 10-year-old Labrador mix from the Bahamas with a kind heart, a young spirit, and a body that’s been through far more than it should. Despite years of pain and limited mobility, Hiley continues to greet life with quiet resilience and trust.
Hiley has been diagnosed with chronic fractures in both hip joints — specifically bilateral acetabulum and femoral head/neck fractures — likely from old trauma that was never treated. As a result, his hips have undergone severe remodeling and he’s now suffering from severe degenerative joint disease (DJD) in both hips. On top of that, his pelvic canal is narrowed, and his muscle in his back legs is decreasing.
Veterinarians have recommended an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery on his right hip to relieve pain and improve mobility. Depending on his progress, a second surgery on the left hip may be necessary in the future. He’s also in need of a dental.
We’re raising funds to give Hiley the medical care he needs.
FHO surgery on his right hip
Dental care
Continued appointments to create treatment plan
Pain management, follow-up appointments, and supportive therapies
Hiley may be a senior, but he still has so much love and life left to give. Please donate if you can, every contribution matters. Every share helps.
