Every Child is Ready to Learn!

Today, we’re asking you to help us place Every Child Ready to Learn! in the hands of more parents and early childhood educators across the state of Idaho. Every donation of $20 purchases a copy of this book and places it in the hands of families and educators across the state. Let’s build successful learners together!

In 2012, Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) published, Every Child Ready to Learn! (ECRL), a book of activities to help children develop early literacy and math skills, available in English and Spanish. This book was developed by our Early Childhood Education experts and is filled with practical and effective tools for early childhood educators and parents to prepare kids to be successful in school.

LPLC is deeply committed to helping early learners (birth to 5 years) develop learning skills that increase their math and reading success in school. Since 2005, we’ve trained thousands of early childcare providers statewide through our Idaho Early Literacy Project to prepare children to be successful in kindergarten. Between 2005 and 2013, 98% of students taught by teachers trained by LPLC staff met or exceeded grade level targets in the program.

Every Child Ready to Learn! is an excellent learning tool for all children. For the 20% of children who face a learning disability, it helps some children overcome learning obstacles before they become compounded by age and experience. Other children and parents can benefit from early detection of a learning disability that might require more intensive treatment.

Poorly developed math and reading skills have lifelong consequences. At LPLC, we believe every child has unlimited potential to learn. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities through prevention, evaluation, treatment, and research. In the past 17 years, we’ve worked with thousands of students, families, and teachers across the state to develop learning abilities for Idaho kids.

Thank you for your support Idaho!
