Lake County Historical Society

Help us continue the nearly century long legacy of collecting, preserving, and sharing past and present stories of Lake County, Minnesota! Founded November 25th 1925 in the basement of the Agate Bay Hotel, the Society has been the repository for Lake County's history for 96 years. Bringing history to life at its 3 historic sites through exhibits and programming, LCHS depends on donations like yours to continue to be a community resource for generations to come.
