Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers

Every day, Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL) is a lifeline for judges, lawyers, law students, legal professionals, and their families facing some of life's most difficult challenges. Whether someone is struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, compulsive behaviors, career stress, family concerns, financial pressures, or simply feeling overwhelmed, LCL provides free, confidential support when it is needed most. 

Through statewide access to up to four free counseling sessions, peer support, support groups, referrals, follow-up services, and educational programming, LCL helps hundreds of people each year.  Behind every call is a person seeking hope, connection, and a path forward. As one lawyer shared, "You saved my life by being there when I had given up hope. The confidential, caring support I received during my crisis made a difference."

The need for LCL has never been greater. We continue to see the effects of mental illness, addiction, burnout, traumatic events, and suicide within our legal community. While the number of people we serve increases each year, many more legal professionals and family members still struggle in silence. Every day, there are colleagues who need help but have not yet reached out.
